All 13 food permits at Medley addresses scored 100 on their first state health inspection, with no violations listed, from Shake Shack and STIR to Playa Bowls.
Every food business inspected so far at Medley, Johns Creek’s new town center district, scored 100. That is the top score on Georgia’s restaurant inspection scale.
The state’s inspection register lists 13 food service permits with a Medley address as of Friday, Oct. 30. Each has had one inspection, recorded as an initial inspection. Each scored 100, and none of the 13 reports lists a violation. The records are on the Georgia Department of Public Health’s inspection search.
Medley opened Thursday, Oct. 29, at Johns Creek Parkway and McGinnis Ferry Road. Our Medley guide has the hours, parking and the full restaurant lineup.

What the score means
Georgia scores restaurant inspections out of 100. Points come off for each violation the inspector marks. The score sets a letter grade, as the Department of Public Health explains:
- A: 90 to 100
- B: 80 to 89
- C: 70 to 79
- U: 69 or below
A score describes one visit on one day. An initial inspection is the first one under a new permit. Later routine inspections can score differently.
Who is not on the list yet
Medley’s announced lineup is longer than 13. Several of its restaurants, including Tabla, Fadó Irish Pub, 26 Thai Kitchen & Bar and CRÚ Food & Wine Bar, did not appear with a Medley address in the state’s Johns Creek search on Oct. 30. Some have not opened yet, and a permit can be filed under a different address or business name. We will add their scores when they appear.
What it means for you
- Before you book: you can look up any restaurant’s latest score and report on the state inspection search. Search by name or by city.
- At the door: Georgia restaurants must post their inspection report, according to the Department of Public Health’s food code FAQ.
- Something wrong? Food safety complaints go to the county environmental health office, the Department of Public Health said.
